Fousion Finest 2020

WITH THE INTENTION OF REFLECTING THE ZEITGEIST OF OUR TIMES, THE FOUSION FINEST EXHIBITION PROPOSES A JOURNEY TO THE NEW CONTEMPORARY ART THROUGH A SELECTION OF PIECES HALFWAY BETWEEN POP SURREALISM, SCIENCE FICTION AND ABSTRACT URBAN ART. 

Most of the pieces will be exhibited for the first time in Barcelona. Some of them are large-format works, the emblematic Royal Artistic Circle of Barcelona (RCAB), seems like the ideal location, right by the cathedral, inside a palace from the 15th and 16th centuries and on the other hand for having respected the historical architecture in their exhibition space.

This adaptation of the partially Gothic building to our time serves as a common thread since the chosen artworks for the exhibition also nourishes from traditional artistic techniques, adding futuristic elements and thus escaping beyond the time in which they were created in order to build a dialogue with the contemporary.  

Jasmin Waschl is in charge of the curatorship. She is the founder and director of Fousion Gallery, Barcelona, ​​and for this occasion, she has selected established, or even legendary artists, who inhabit the worlds of pop surrealism, original illustration, urban art or abstract and conceptual graffiti. 

Fousion Gallery, renowned in its art sector, presents and represents internationally distinguished artists in solid forums as London, Basel, Paris, Cologne or New York just to name a few.  

The exhibition is of very short duration, almost as short as the accumulated energy-ball that is visible just before an explosion, which this time reclaims the outbreak of the movement known as New Contemporary Art. It is an activity promoted by Drap Art’20.
